“To offer future physicians an opportunity to experience research work and the diversity of countries all over the world, we provide a network of locally and internationally active students that globally facilitate access to research exchange projects.”

Standing Committee on Research Exchange (SCORE) was established in 1991 and presently involves more than 81 actives NMO, one of which is SCORE CIMSA with its 14 locals. We offer more than 2800 projects for more than 1800 medical students worldwide. Our mission is to offer future physicians an opportunity to experience research and diversity in countries all over the world. We aim to develop both culturally sensitive students and skilled researchers intent on shaping the world of science.

Through research exchange, we provide medical students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the specific area of their research interest. This program is officially recognized and supported by the medical university and is guided by a mentor. By joining research exchange program, students will be able to learn the basic principles of medical research such as literature studies, collecting data, scientific writing, lab work, statistics, and also ethical aspects related to the medicine.

As for SCORE CIMSA, besides providing medical students the exchange opportunity, we also focus on establishing activities that would improve medical students’ skill on research as well as raising awareness about the importance of doing research.

Our projects are mainly divided to 4 types, such as:

  1. Basic laboratory research project
  2. Clinical research project with lab work
  3. Clinical research project without lab work
  4. Global Action Project (GAP)
